About The Speakers
John Koster, MD
John is a healthcare author, consultant and board member. John and his coauthors Ram Charan and Gary Bisbee recently released their book; n = 1, How the Uniqueness of Each Individual is Transforming Healthcare.
John is on the boards of Sutter Healthcare and Banner Healthcare. He is an advisor to hospital systems, health insurers, boards and early stage healthcare technology companies. He serves as an executive in residence of the Health Management Academy.
John served for ten years as the CEO of Providence Health & Services, one of the largest US health systems, until 2014. Prior to Providence, John served in senior leadership in health insurance plans, hospital systems, medical groups and consulting practices. He is an internist and emergency medicine physician and regarded as one of the country’s most prominent physician executives.
Chris Dawe
Chris is Principal, Transformation at Evolent Health, a leading provider of value-based care solutions to health systems and physicians. Prior to joining Evolent, Mr. Dawe served as Health Care Policy Advisor to the National Economic Council at the White House, where he coordinated the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for President Obama’s economic team, with a particular focus on health system improvement and health issues in the federal budget debate.
Before joining the Administration, Mr. Dawe served as a Professional Staff Member of the Senate Finance Committee responsible for issues relating to Medicare payment and delivery system reform, health IT, patient-centered outcomes research, and care coordination and quality improvement.

Jane is the founder of Leaders Go First. She has over 17 years of clinical and healthcare business experience as a board certified anesthesiologist, plus 12 years of executive coaching and leadership consulting experience in large healthcare systems and global high tech organizations.
